When we hear the word “creativity,” we often think of something that’s used everyday by the more whimsical professions such as designers, artists, writers and marketers.  But the fact of the matter is, all professions can utilize creativity in their careers no matter what the industry. Here are four ways that you can be creative in your job.

#1. DISCOVERING NEW SOLUTIONS TO A PROBLEM

Problem-solving requires a good dose of creativity. If you’re trying to figure out a pesky problem?  You think through it again and again and then, BAM! You figure it out. Even if it’s a boring or mundane problem, that’s creativity working its magic.

#2.  IMPLEMENTING A NEW PROCESS TO INCREASE TEAM EFFICIENCY

Is the team workflow not, well, working? Creating a new process to help out with team efficiency can be a huge time and money saver. Not to mention, it can also be a big morale booster to your team, knowing that they’re productivity is valued.

#3.  TRYING OUT INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

Is there a new piece of software that helps you do your job better? By all means, test it out and see if it’s worth the investment in either time, money or both. If so, it could be worth its weight in gold!

#4. HOLD A MEETING OF THE MINDS

Creativity isn’t meant to be a one-person show. Brainstorming ideas, processes and problems with your team is a super creative way to solve pesky challenges. Not all ideas will be good ones but for every five ideas, your team may generate one fantastic one that can change the trajectory of your workflow. That’s a win-win for everyone!
